The playoffs have seen their fair share of controversy thus far, which isn't surprising as there are always controversial plays and calls in sports. Goalie interference is the call that's had the spotlight on it so far in these playoffs, and that continued Friday night.
In Game 5 of the Anaheim Ducks and Edmonton Oilers series, Anaheim erased a three-goal deficit late in the third period to force overtime. The controversial part of that comeback came on the tying goal, as there appeared to be goaltender interference on Cam Talbot. The goal would stand, angering Oilers players and fans alike.
Milan Lucic was in disbelief after the game at how there was no call on the tying goal, pleading he has "no idea anymore what goalie interference is," and that "it's a shame" the Oilers are where they are right now in the series because of the blown call.
