March Madness is only two days away (Thursday), but if you've been following UCLA star Lonzo Ball this season, the madness surrounding him has been going on for quite some time.

Not only is Ball projected to be a lottery pick come the draft, but his dad has also been very confident when singing his son's praises, and that's sugar-coating it to say the least.

Before Monday, LaVar Ball's most outrageous claim is that his son is already better than reigning two-time MVP Stephen Curry, also known as the greatest shooter of all-time.

That claim, however, is child's play when you stack it up with what LaVar said in an interview with Josh Peter of USA Today:

"Back in my heyday, I would kill Michael Jordan one-on-one."

Don't have to pinch yourself because you're not dreaming.  LaVar ball thinks he would have killed the greatest basketball player of all-time one-on-one.
Here's his explanation behind the claim:

"I would just back (Jordan) in and lift him off the ground and call a foul every time he fouls me when I do a jump hook to the right or the left," Ball said. "He cannot stop me one-on-one. He better make every shot ’cause he can't go around me. He's not fast enough. And he can only make so many shots outside before I make every bucket under the rim."

Maybe LaVar is underestimating MJ's defensive ability just a tad, because after all, the man was a nine-time first team all-defence player over the course of his career.

While we're all for having an extreme amount of confidence in yourself and your loved ones, sometimes it's best to keep that confidence to yourself.

LaVar's claims surely will follow his son around wherever he goes, and with the NCAA tournament about to start, the Curry one might be brought up if Ball doesn't lead the No. 3 seeded Bruins in the South region on a deep run.

The tournament hasn't even begun yet, but expect the madness to continue when it comes to the Ball family, whether it be on the court or off it.
