Even though the Toronto Raptors are the defending NBA Champions, the lone Canadian team in the NBA still has to fight against a lot of doubters.
Many have counted them out as a result of the departure of Kawhi Leonard, and even more think that their NBA title was only as a result of the slew of injuries that the Warriors suffered during the series.
Nevertheless, the Raptors have quietly been proving everyone wrong all season long. Tonight, in their first game in the NBA bubble they continued that by downing the Lakers 107-92.
Following the loss, LeBron James had some extremely high praise for his opponents, acknowledging the lack of attention they receive, but also acknowledging what a quiet powerhouse they are in the league.
Nice to see real recognizing real, and we think this matchup would be a great one to see in the Finals.
