The NBA off-season had about three times as much action as the NBA Playoffs.

Just over a month removed from their third straight NBA Finals appearance, the Cleveland Cavaliers appear to be in complete disarray. First the team fires their GM, then they reportedly miss out on a deal for Jimmy Butler due to him being told by a player on the Cavs to not join the Cavs, LeBron James 2018 exit rumours continue to heat up, and finally, their star point guard, Kyrie Irving, reportedly wants to leave. You would think that things couldn't get a whole lot more messy in Cleveland, and yet they have.

Up to this point James had remained silent on the Kyrie situation, but on Tuesday he took to Twitter to call out two reports that stated that he was both "eager" for Kyrie to get dealt, and that he was "extremely unhappy" with the initial trade request, to the point that he would be "...tempted to beat his ass."

It is great to be able to see athletes get the chance to respond to reports directly on Twitter, but on the other end, it's tough to really take  James response at face value. What's he supposed to say? "Kyrie's done in Cleveland. Ship him out, guys." Meanwhile, with a little sleuthing, House of Highlights uncovered the fact that Kyrie Irving does not follow LeBron James on Instagram.

Alright, we know you were just able to hear your eyes roll into the back of your head when reading that last point on Instagram. But you have to admit that it's a little peculiar. Nowadays following someone on Instagram is akin to saying "we're no longer cool." Although, athletes are completely aware of the fact that people read into this sort of stuff, and may choose to unfollow people simply to have a laugh at the response to their actions.

Somewhere out there the whole Warriors squad is laughing at the fact that while Draymond Green is going to war with Conor McGregor on Instagram, LeBron James has had to spend his off-season defending Believeland from falling apart before the season even begins.
