Those who have played the arcade game 'NBA Playgrounds' have likely noticed that just like in real life, three-point shooting is kind of important to winning. In fact, it can be downright overpowering at some points. Something that has been true in a number of arcade basketball games in the past (NBA Showtime, NBA Street, NBA Jam [2010]).

Here's to hoping that you've enjoyed relying on 3-point shooters to stay competitive, because two legendary shooters are about to get added to the game in the near future, including Larry Bird and Gary Payton. Alongside those 3-point maestros are two NBA Legends that are no longer on the court, but still on TV day in day out: Shaquille O'Neal and Kenny Smith.

Here's the full list of players that will be added in the coming weeks.

Dennis Rodman, Isaiah Thomas, Larry Bird, Giannis Antetokoumnpo, Kenny Smith, Gary Payton, Klay Thompson, Devin Booker, Tony Parker, Kemba Walker, Seth Curry, Tiny Archibald, John Starks, Tracy McGrady, Pete Maravich

Alongside the addition of numerous players, a few notable fixes will be made to the gameplay and presentation, including a penalization system for players who abandon matches, a new shot-meter to help show when to release the ball, as well as an adjustment to the steal system.

NBA Playgrounds is available on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and on PC for $19.99.
