Earlier this month, the city of Stockholm experienced a shocking event as a truck was hijacked and deliberately driven into crowds along a main street, killing five people.
Next week, the 2017 IIHF World Championship gets underway in Paris, France, and Cologne, Germany, and Sweden’s goaltending duo are going to be paying tribute to the Swedish police and rescue services in a pretty awesome way.
Carolina Hurricanes goalie Eddie Lack and former Anaheim Ducks and Edmonton Oilers goalie Viktor Fasth are both going to be honouring the men and women who worked that night and put their lives on the line on a daily basis through fantastic artwork on their masks for the tournament.
Both masks will be auctioned off after the tournament, with all proceeds going towards Barncancerfonden, which is the Childhood Cancer Fund.
