Kris Versteeg is one of the funnier players in the NHL and he had some hot takes today regarding hockey’s most renowned hairstyle.
Now that Jaromir Jagr has joined the Calgary Flames, there has been a lot of talk about Mullets. In fact, we even proposed that Calgary change their logo while Jagr is on the team. This jersey would immediately be an all-time best seller.
Well, with all the talk of Mullets, Versteeg was asked about mullets and whether or not he had one after practice today. He’s tells the story of having one when he was younger and it expresses some regret, because he thinks only certain people can pull it off. He specifically named three people: Patrick Kane (In the playoffs), Brandon Saad and Jaromir Jagr.
He may have a little bias towards some of his former teammates, but maybe we’re just biased because we want as many people as possible to rock a mullet. If we had to choose one other person in the league to bring it back, we’re pretty sure Jack Eichel has the moxie to pull it off.
