It's that time of year again, All-Star voting in both the NHL and NBA is well underway and teams are lobbying for their players to get voted in by the fans with very creative social media content.
Falling under the creative content category is what the Sacramento Kings did on Wednesday as they misspelled the names of other star NBA players in a tweet to get their star, DeMarcus Cousins, more votes.
Absolutely brilliant, and here's why. The causal Twitter user will see the tweet quickly and retweet it because they want to see that starting lineup in the All-Star game.
Every RT will only help Cousins, though, because his name is the only one spelt correctly and you can only vote for one player in a single tweet. We told you it was brilliant.
Of course, other teams didn't necessarily agree with the brilliance of the Kings' Twitter account, but you can't blame them for trying.
Aside from creative brilliance on Twitter, the Kings are trying to get people to vote for Cousins with a song, too.
The Trail Blazers weren't fans of the rap, though.
Anything to get votes, right?
