The KHL playoffs are in full swing as the semifinal round is starting to wrap up.

HC CSKA Moscow cruised through the regular season, as they won a league-best 41 games and finished tied for first in the entire league with a whopping 137 points. However, the regular season doesn’t always transfer over to the postseason, as they finds themselves down 3-2 heading into Saturday night’s game due to one bad bounce.

While shorthanded, CSKA attempted to rim the puck around the boards in hopes of it getting out of the zone. Instead, the puck went off the referee and stayed in play. That's when Vladislav Gavrikov made no mistake burying it.

The 21-year-old’s first goal of the postseason gave Lokomotiv a 2-0 lead and they eventually went on to defeat CSKA 2-1. They can eliminate the KHL’s top seeded team on Saturday with a victory on home ice.
