Last week, the semifinal round of the KHL playoffs wrapped up. Lokomotiv continued their hot streak and shocked top-seeded CSKA by eliminating them in 6 games.
Like most playoff series are, the one between Lokomotiv and CSKA was a rough one. The series featured just about everything a hockey fan could ask for from goals to saves to massive hits.
During Game 5, CSKA defenceman Grigori Panin looked to line up one of his opponents with a massive hit behind his team’s net. The hit was definitely massive, only he somehow managed to end up on the wrong end of it.
Considering he managed to run himself right through the glass without hitting anyone, he must have had a pretty massive hit lined up for his opponent.
The veteran was a little shaken up after the play, but that tends to happen when you go headfirst into glass.
