Growing up, you probably learned the hard way that it's always better to take responsibility for your actions and not blame others.
The minute you start blaming others, your trust goes out the window and people look at you in a different light.
There are cases, however, where attempting to blame another person for your actions may in fact be what's best, and we imagine that was the thought process in this KHL coach's mind.
During a playoff game between Lokomotiv and SKA on Tuesday, Lokomotiv head coach Alexei Kudashov threw a water bottle at SKA forward Ilya Kablukov.
Obviously the officials noticed what happened, but Kudashov tried to blame his assistant coach for throwing the bottle in the hopes of not getting ejected.
It didn't work.
Nice try coach.
We applaud the effort from Kudashov as that is a rare situation in which somebody else taking the fall for his actions would be for the good of the team.
Unfortunately, Kudashov was ejected and SKA came back to win the game 2-1 in overtime and take a 3-0 series lead.
Also, if you're looking at Kudashov's name with a sense of familiarity, you probably know him from his brief stint with the Leafs during the 1993-94 season.
