It didn't take long for the next chapter of the JaVale McGee/Shaq saga to be written.

Less than 24 hours after the two got into one of the most heated Twitter wars we've ever seen, Kevin Durant was asked about the exchange at practice and he didn't hold back as he sounded off on Shaq in defence of his teammate.

For those confused about the cop reference Durant used when asked about the Twitter exchange, Shaq is a sworn-in deputy marshall.

Durant wasn't the only Warrior who defended McGee.  Head coach Steve Kerr also did when asked about the situation.

KD made some great points.  Obviously Shaq has a job to do, but at the same time it's probably gone a little too far at this point, and now that McGee's mad about it and standing up for himself, the next step is to threaten him and make fun of him even more.  Something about that just doesn't add up.

Obviously a legend like Shaq has earned the respect of past and present players, but McGee is well within reason to not have respect for him at this point.
JaVale isn't the only player to call out a Hall of Famer this season, either.

Back in January, LeBron James went off on Charles Barkley for his comments about the King, and many current players backed him for doing what he did.

We imagine we haven't heard the last of Shaq or JaVale when it comes to their feud, and as long as Barkley and Shaq are given a platform to say what's on their mind, it's probably not a stretch to say more players might take exception to some of their comments.
