Paul Kariya and Teemu Selanne are inseparable. Kariya has disappeared from the hockey scene since his retirement, but it’s clear their relationship hasn’t missed a beat in that time.
Kariya has been in Toronto all weekend for the Hall of Fame events and the long-time teammates and friends have been having a blast. As soon as they got in a room together, they were goofing around the entire time.
Taking all of that into consideration, many people were a little thrown when they ended up on separate teams in the Legends Classic game today. The game was separated into Canadians and World players, so it wasn’t up to them, but it was still a little weird.
It didn’t last long though, as Kariya took things into his own hands by trading himself. He threw on a World jersey at intermission and joined Selanne with the World Legends. It is much more fitting this way.
