Russell Westbrook kept his historic season rolling on Sunday night with another jaw-dropping performance.
The Oklahoma City Thunder point guard recorded his 42nd triple-double of the season to officially break Oscar Robertson’s record for most triple-doubles in a season.
After missing out on the record his previous two games by one rebound and then two assists, Westbrook was not going to be denied a triple-double for the third straight game.
All eyes have been on the 28-year-old Long Beach, California native all season and he received some high praise from other NBA superstars after recording the historic feat.
After all the great messages he received from other players, the best congratulatory message of all had to come from one of his sponsors, Jordan Brand.
Jordan Brand perfectly blended highlights of Westbrook’s historic campaign with Oscar Robertson’s historic season for one fantastic video.
This might just be one of those records we see stand for a very long time.
