Jon Jones will finally return to the Octagon at UFC 214 in July and the hype train is already starting to build.
Alexander Gustafsson, a fighter who has lost to both Jones and his upcoming opponent, Daniel Cormier, said that Jones was “Not a champion” in his eyes because he doesn’t believe he’s a good person. If that’s Gustafsson’s criteria for being a champion, he and Jones are on totally different wave lengths.
Jones heard Gustafsson’s comments (Presumibly last night because that’s went he blew up on Twitter) and gave his own reasons for why Gustafsson is not a champion.
WARNING: NSFW Language.
Also, when he says “Daniel Gus” he means “Of course you’re rooting for Daniel, Gus”, not a person named Daniel Gus.
Honestly, we’re just waiting for Jones to get back in the ring finally. There has been plenty of talk over the course of his suspension, but it’s time to get back in action.
Maybe Gustafsson doesn’t win Championship fights, but he has won fights, or even just fought at all in the last year.
He also responded to Jones' tirade with some shots about his drug testing.
This is a lot of hooplah over two guys who don't seem to path to meet again anytime soon, but perhaps this could make it more of a possibility.
