Joel Embiid has only played 31 NBA games since being drafted third overall by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2014 NBA Draft, but he continues to remind Sixers fans to ‘Trust the Process’.
The NBA's preseason got underway this past weekend and the Philadelphia 76ers will play their first game on Tuesday night at home against the Memphis Grizzlies. With another basketball season right around the corner, Embiid has been putting in extra work this offseason in hopes of finally getting his first full NBA season under his belt, which includes late night workouts on the streets of Philadelphia.
If it was a little earlier in the night he probably would have had a lot more cars lined up to get a look at him.
Despite having some bad luck when it comes to injuries, Embiid also likes to poke fun at himself for how is career has started.
In 31 games last season, the Yaoundé, Cameroon native recorded 20.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 2.5 blocks per game and he’s looking to improve across the board this season.
