He may be the oldest player in the NHL, but that hasn’t stopped Florida Panthers forward Jaromir Jagr from climbing up some of the league’s greatest statistical categories, and shattering others.
Jagr, 45, has scored more game-winning goals (135) than any other player in NHL history, and currently ranks third in goals (763), fifth in assists (1,144), and fourth in games played (1,684). On Friday night, the Czech forward passed Gordie Howe for having scored the most points by a player over the age of 40, with his 269th.
When asked about the accomplishment, Jagr hilariously told reporters he would pass Howe’s record in his 50’s, too.
Considering he’s still playing at a high level and has shown little signs of waring down, we wouldn't be surprised.
