It was starting to look like hockey fans were going to have go through an entire NHL season without getting to see Jaromir Jagr play one more time, but the Calgary Flames changed that when they signed the 45-year-old to a one-year deal on October 4, 2017.
With the Flames set to play the Los Angeles Kings in LA on Wednesday night, the five-time Art Ross Trophy winner and the Flames’ coaching staff decided it was the right time to make his debut with the team and that’s exactly what he did.
This is year will be Jagr’s 24th NHL season and the Flames are the ninth team he’s played for over that span.
This season will most likely be the 13-time NHL All-Star’s final year, but we’ll just have to wait and see how he performs at the highest level this year.
