The Cleveland Indians had a chance to advance to the ALCS on Monday night, but fell 7-4 to the New York Yankees who pushed the best-of-five to a fifth game.

The team defence was sloppy, committing four errors in the game. When you make that many mistakes in a post-season matchup, you’re chances of escaping scotch free are slim to none.

Cleveland sent out Trevor Bauer to close out the series, who shutout the Yankees in Game 1 with zero runs allowed and striking out eleven over six innings of work. Pitching on short rest, Bauer’s fortunes weren’t as promising for the Indians in Game 4, as the 26-year-old started didn’t make it out of the second inning while allowing four unearned runs on four hits and two walks, which called for an early night to the showers.

Following his exit of the game, Bauer smartly jumped on Twitter and dug through his mentions, which isn’t a good idea whatsoever considering he just got shelled. Between the second and eighth inning, the Indians starter started blocking anyone that crossed his path with any distasteful tweets while his teammates tried to dig out of the 4-0 hole that he helped create.

The people that he was blocking quickly picked up on the fact that his teammates were still partaking in the game as sat in the clubhouse on his smartphone.

Bauer was probably just a little sour that he left the game in position to lose. With Bauer eventually taking the loss, the Indians dropped to 4-17 in 21 potential clinching game dating back to Game 7 of the 1997 World Series. Bauer is an avid drone enthusiast, which has some pegging him with the nickname “Drone Boy.” His “Iron Man” drone was stolen a few weeks back, so maybe people were talking smack to him about that.

Bauer is known to mix it up with Twitter, and frequently calls people on the app. He’s trolled the Blue Jays in the past, and wound up the country of Canada on Canada Day. Seems like he can dish it out, but not really take it back.
