It's a well known fact the Anaheim NHL franchise was founded by The Walt Disney Company, and when your team is established by a media and entertainment conglomerate, there's a chance they'll build the team brand around a franchise of movies about a group of misfit, youth hockey players who turn their season around and find a way to win. The team just down the road from Disneyland was therefore named The Mighty Ducks.
With Emilio Estevez channeling his inner Gordon Bombay and getting fully behind the Ducks team again, we began wondering what the Mighty Ducks team from the movie series would look like if they played for today's Ducks.
And who needs an imagination when BarDown can show you exactly what the Mighty Ducks would look like on today's Ducks team:
Charlie Conway
Fulton Reed
Greg "Goldie" Goldberg
Russ Tyler
Connie Moreau

With Game 7 this Saturday night against the Chicago Blackhawks in Anaheim, we're kind of hoping the Ducks take a few pointers from the fictional Mighty Ducks teams of the 90s... the Flying V and the Knuckle Puck are potent plays. Draw 'em up, Bruce Boudreau!
