Was 'Top Gun' a Christmas movie? Romance, fighter jets, pilots, motorcycles... okay, maybe it's not a Christmas movie, but it appears the Syracuse Crunch might think it is.
It was 1986, and Goose had made a bet with Tom Cruise, better known at the time as Maverick, regarding an activity with a woman on the bar premises. Before Goose could say "the bet is on," she had lost that loving feeling, Maverick had picked up a microphone, and the entire bar was singing along to The Righteous Brothers classic as Maverick's wingman. This all, of course, is a scene from the 1986 drama 'Top Gun.'
As most teams around the country put out Christmas videos of their players singing holiday classics for fans to enjoy, the Syracuse Crunch have decided to bring back that loving feeling and sing 'You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'' for fans. It's a peculiar holiday choice... but is it ever hilarious.
Tom Cruise would be proud...
