At nearly the longest point of the year having been without baseball, Blue Jays fans are is itching to see the team back on the field.
Well, apparently some players are feeling the same way, because Josh Donaldson showed up to Spring Training early. Pitchers and catchers were set to arrive today, but not hitters. Regardless, the Bringer of Rain was there, much to the surprise of Jason Grilli.
Grilli has become one of the more popular players in the clubhouse and among fans, and itβs easy to see why.
Donaldson and Grilli clearly have a pretty good relationship, but we saw that last season as they shared some hilarious banter on Twitter.
Honestly though, if Donaldson had anyone to blame for the old age of their roster it was 42 year old R.A. Dickey. Although, Dickey has left for Atlanta, making Grilli the only 40-year-old on the roster.
