Not all fans handle an overtime loss well.
Monday, the Senators defeated the Bruins in Boston to take a 2-1 series lead in their first round match-up. The win came in rather controversial circumstances, as the Sens were awarded a powerplay after Bobby Ryan and Riley Nash were involved in an altercation that resulted in the Bruins forward receiving a penalty. Matters were only made worse when Ryan went on to score the game-winner in OT, sending Bruins fans into a frenzy.
While the majority of Bruins fans at the TD Garden responded with nothing more than some expected boos, a small contingent of fans took matters further, hurling debris at Sens players as they left the ice, even going so far as to attempt to steal their sticks. Yes, actually.
No matter how a game ends, you never want to see fans interacting with opposing players in a manner like that. When you're representing your team's colours, you should represent them with class.
