Sports are wonderful for so many reasons other than just the pure joy and happiness of playing them.
For people of any age, sports, especially a team sport like hockey, teaches many important life skills like leadership, teamwork and dedication among other things.
That being said, sometimes parents just want to put their kids in hockey so they can learn to stickhandle and skate, and the life skills stuff is just a bonus.
