Although the Blue Jays have only played 16 games this season, fans are still very worried about the team's chances to make the postseason thanks to a 4-12 start.
Before Friday night's game, Jose Bautista and Toronto's offence was nowhere to be found and that alone is one of the biggest reasons as to why the Jays are where they are right now in the standings.
Of course, there is an alternate explanation for the slow start, and it's the focus in the latest edition of 'BarDown Toonz' from the one and only Pengellyink:
Although Blue Jays fans are aware of the team's slow start, the Leafs have taken more than enough eyeballs off of the team for the time being with their playoff run.
Add in the fact that the Raptors are also in the playoffs right now and it kind of makes sense that the Jays are getting less attention in the grand scheme of things right now.
That being said, a 5 or 10-game-winning streak could change that, and if Toronto can score runs like they did Friday night, that's not out of the question.
