France shocked everyone at the 2017 IIHF Hockey Championship when they defeated Finland 5-1 on Sunday.
In the victory, France’s goalie Florian Hardy stood on his head for his team as he stopped 42 of 43 shots that came his way.
After a stellar performance and helping his team steal a victory over Finland, Hardy did not end up receiving the player of the game award for France and his teammates, especially Pierre-Édouard Bellemare, were outraged.
The Flyers winger ended up winning the player of the game award for France, but he immediately turned it down and forced his goalie to go and receive the award.
Very classy move.
