With the world press tour out of the way, Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor can finally get to focusing on their training camps ahead of their August 26th superfight. One of the main reasons that combat sports fans are so excited about the fight is because the world of boxing and MMA will finally collide, with fans hoping to finally see which sport features the best overall fighter.

McGregor enters the fight as a heavy underdog versus Mayweather, and if a recent rumour about the MMA star getting knocked out in sparring is to be believed, the odds may swing even further in the boxing lengend's favour. Former WBO welterweight champion Jessie Vargas spoke with 'Villainfy Media' this weekend, and during his chat, the boxer reported a rather interesting rumour, stating that McGregor "got knocked out in "sparring."

Vargas goes on to say that that the boxing world is small, intimating that news like McGregor getting knocked out in sparring tends to spread quickly. Which raises an interesting question. If the rumour is to be believed, why wouldn't Mayweather's camp know about it? Because if they did, you know that Mayweather would've mentioned it 67345 times during their world tour, following it up with a "hard work, yeaaaaaaaaaah!"
