Rock and Roll legend Tom Petty died of a massive heart attack Monday evening.

The world of rock and roll was changed by Tom Petty and his band, the Heartbreakers, when they first emerged in 1976. Familiar songs such as Mary Jane's Last Dance, Free Fallin', and American Girl have been popular across radio waves for decades, and the iconic songwriter also delivered a Super Bowl halftime performance that a lot of traditional football fans consider to be the last great halftime show.

Ryan Hollweg played 228 games in the NHL, 200 of those coming with the New York Rangers. He wasn't exactly gifted offensively, as he only recorded five goals and 9 assists during that span, but he was useful in the old NHL for his fisticuffs. Hollweg was never afraid to get his hands dirty, totalling 349 PIM over his tenure in the NHL, but in a video that recently emerged, he shows his hands in a more delicate situation - strumming six steel strings during a Czech league pre-game.

"Free Fallin'" has always been a crowd pleaser. You'd be hard-pressed to find someone that doesn't know the lyrics to the catchy chorus. Hollweg's rendition is, err, different. Nonetheless, the video makes for a nice tribute to a man that has given us so many classic songs.

(Starts playing at 6:40)

We appreciate Hollweg's performance in this circumstance, but we hope that pre-game performances don't become a regular thing for the former Rangers bruiser.
