There's still over a month until NHL action is underway, but the KHL is in full swing, and some of the highlights coming out of the league have been extraordinary.
Earlier this week we saw a defenceman score from his end, as well as some vintage Pavel Datsyuk. Today we get to lay witness to another former NHLer working their magic, this time on a coast-to-coast thriller.
Thursday, former Canucks defenceman Philip Larsen who now plays for Salavat Yulaev Ufa took matters into his own hands, skating all the way from his own end, slipping through multiple defenders, passing the puck off his foot before finally going top shelf.
Larsen scored nine goals in his NHL career, and none of them were quite as sweet as that. You've got to be pretty confident to attempt a goal like that on your own, and judging by his four goals in four games tally, clearly Larsen is chalk full of confidence at the moment.
