Nolan Patrick was in a tier with Nico Hischier that was considered above the rest of the 2017 NHL draft.
They were basically a unanimous choice to go number one and two, it was just a matter of finding out which order it would finally be. Hischier ended up going first to the New Jersey Devils which meant the Philadelphia Flyers picked Patrick with the second overall pick.
At this point in time, Flyers fans couldn’t be happier.
Of course, a team with the nickname Broad Street Bullies has some fans that can appreciate a fight. In fact, the fan base seems to believe this was a rite of passage for the rookie forward. Fighting in the preseason is definitely a very Flyers thing to do.
Patrick is well on his way to becoming a Flyers legend and he hasn’t even played a regular season game. Oh, and this is what Krejci’s face looked like after the scrap. Not bad kid.
