Evgeny Kuznetsov is an elite talent in the NHL, something that we have known for a couple years now. What we didn’t know, is what a good boy he is.
Kuznetsov embraced his spirit animal, which is clearly some kind of retriever, last night when getting a puck for a referee. First he picked up the puck, and then for reasons that we will probably never understand, he put in his mouth like before bringing it to the referee.
This had happened just after a glorious opportunity in which he was stopped by the Petr Mrazek, so perhaps that had something to do with it. Maybe he was just mad at the puck, or maybe he was checking if it was an official puck, similar to how gold medalists check the quality of their medals by biting it.
Either way, for the referee’s sake, we just hope he didn’t drool too much.
