NHL athletes have moved beyond the break in their offseason and are in full training mode at this point.
With that being the case, there are a lot of weight lifting photos and video being shared on social media as everybody looks to get swole. Oilers defencemen Eric Gryba and Darnell Nurse have been a part of that trend all offseason, and now it appears that they’re trying to one-up each other. Nurse recently posted a video of a massive deadlift, but Gryba wasn’t impressed.
Gryba’s response to this lift was to lighten the load a little bit, but only use one leg. He tweeted out the message and specifically challenged Nurse to come back with a response.
Nurse said he will respond in a couple weeks, so we’ll be interested to see what can be more difficult than doing one-legged squats. Your move, Darnell.
