To say people were stunned watching the New England Patriots complete the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history after being down 28-3 in the third quarter would be an understatement.

There really isn't a word to describe what it was like watching the Patriots continue to fight and stay composed when other teams might have just given in and called it a night.

Obviously things turned around after halftime as New England was down 21-3 heading into the third quarter after a late Tom Brady pick-six, but the second half didn't start out well as Atlanta extended their lead to 25.

That being said, the Patriots stuck to their game plan and stuck to what was said during halftime, as Julian Edelman revealed on Live with Kelly Thursday. (Skip ahead to 2:06)

In sports, fans hate hearing cliches from athletes, but in situations like that, an inspired speech clearly wasn't what the Pats needed to hear.

If you just take a look at the second half and overtime, New England had scoring drives of 8, 10, 12, and 13 plays, which shows just how focused they were on taking it one play at a time until they eventually completed the comeback.

If you're not into the cliche answer, though, Edelman's in game reaction to his own incredible catch and winning the Super Bowl are the farthest thing from cliche.
