The people at EA Sports are always working on ways to advance and improve the video games on their roster, so it’s no surprise that they have a new story mode set to debut in the upcoming Madden 18 video game.
The game mode will be known as ‘Longshot’ and it will require you to play as fictional character Devin Wade, a former quarterback who was a star at the University of Texas. Wade is attempting to work his way back into the football spotlight for a chance to hear his name called at the NFL Draft.
The character is played by JR Lemon, a former running back for Stanford University and the Oakland Raiders who is now an actor and model. The game mode also features other stars such as actors Mahershala Ali and Scott Porter who starred in 'Friday Night Lights', and you also get mentored by Dan Marino during the story mode.
As cool as this new story mode seems it appears that you don’t actually play any NFL games during it, you just work your way up to the NFL Draft.
Either way, it’s a cool addition to the game.
