Novak Djokovic is usually a pretty calm cool and collected man, but today he absolutely lost it on a referee in his French Open match.
The second highest ranked player in the world went all the way to five sets with the unranked Diego Schwartzman and after losing the third set 6-3, he lost it on umpire. The best part is his reason for thinking he didn’t deserve a warning. He is clearly upset with the ref and says something toward him, but he says it in Serbian.
The referee doesn’t speak Serbian, but anyone watching – including the commentators, who call it out – can tell it wasn’t very nice.
Watching the video, he seemed to have pretty good reason.
Nevertheless, it didn’t seem to derail the role Djokovic was on as he rolled through the final two sets of their match and moved to the Round of 16. He’ll blow it off and probably be back to his happy-go-lucky self next round.
