We imagine singing the national anthem before a game is a very nerve wracking experience.
Luckily, sports fans are generally supportive in those moments and even come to the aid of anthem singers that happen to forget the words of the anthem or that are dealing with technical difficulties while signing.
On Friday night in New Jersey, for example, fans belted out the Star-Spangled Banner to aid the national anthem singer after she froze up.
Hats off to the fans for saving the young singer and making the moment an incredible one. It reminded us of what happened in Edmonton during the playoffs when the anthem singer's mic broke and the fans sang both the Canadian and American anthems.
From what we've found on the Internet, it seems as though the young anthem singer at the Devils game was dealing with some technical difficulties that led to her forgetting the words.
Either way, it was cool to see the fans take control and help the singer out. Bravo!
