Hockey and basketball are really the only sports that rarely get delayed due to the fact that both sports are played indoors.
That being said, there are certainly instances in which a long delay can occur, and Carolina Hurricanes fans found that out first hand Monday night as the Canes and Red Wings game was delayed.
Apparently the Red Wings Twitter account isn't very patient, though, as they sent this out this tweet chirping the Hurricanes in regards to the delay.
During a delay, you have to pass the time somehow, and having fun is one of the best ways to do so.
Unfortunately for fans, they'll have to keep trying to find ways to pass the time until 8:30pm ET at the very least.
