The NBA is a unique league in how incredibly exciting every offseason is.
In the NHL, most superstar players resign with the team they were drafted to before they become a free agent. But in the NBA, the moment a superstar hits free agency, he can commonly be found taking his talents to a new squad with players he’s always dreamed of teaming up with. These teams are commonly refered to as dream teams.
In other NBA cases, teams don't hold back from making blockbuster trades in the offseason to get a return on players who will soon become free agents, and they have a feeling will leave their organization.
This past offseason, we saw Paul George go to the Oklahoma City Thunder, Chris Paul leave Los Angeles for the Houston Rockets, Jimmy Butler head to the Minnesota Timberwolves, and Gordon Hayward go to the Boston Celtics.
The four nights these four players take on their former teams is going to be must-see television, and now that the NBA schedule is out, we have the dates!
There’s no matchup quite like this past years Kevin Durant return to OKC, but if Kyrie Irving ends up being dealt, we might put his return to Cleveland on that level.
And, of course, KD returning to OKC once again will be great entertainment.
