It's never easy saying goodbye to a teammate, but unfortunately for professional athletes, getting dealt from team to team is just a way of life around trade deadline day.

After making the playoffs two seasons in a row, including a trip to the World Series, the New York Mets have failed to repeat that success in 2018 and currently find themselves well outside of the postseason picture. As such, the Mets have become sellers during the MLB trade deadline. Thursday, the Mets dealt Lucas Duda to the Tampa Bay Rays in a move that hit centrefielder Curtis Granderson right in the heart strings. As Duda made his exit from the Mets locker room, Granderson tried his very best to physically halt him from doing so, hanging onto Duda's leg.

Don't Go Lucas!!!!! Gonna miss you buddy!!!

Making matters all the more humorous, the "Lucas Duda" account that posted the video is actually run by Granderson himself. Quite clearly the man really loves his teammate and will be genuinely sad to see him go. Baseball is a business, but it's always nice to see the human side of it as well.
