Sidney Crosby is one of the greatest players to ever play the game and he's not slowing down just yet.
The three-time Stanley Cup champion has 382 goals and 1,027 points in just 782 career games, on top of the 164 points he has in 148 career playoff games and those numbers are just going to increase every single year. As good as Crosby is, it turns out playing offence wasn’t his first choice as a kid.
On Tuesday, the two-time Rocket Richard Trophy winner joined Dan Patrick on The Dan Patrick Show and discussed his love for goaltending, why his father didn’t want him to be a goalie, who he would want to go one-on-one against if he was between the pipes and much more.
The Pittsburgh Penguins will most likely never let Crosby stand between the pipes for them, but it wouldn’t be his first time in net. Who could forget the time he hit up the local courts in full equipment many years ago.
It's pretty cool that he says Pavel Datsyuk is the guy he would want to face one-on-one in a shootout, and rightfully so considering Datsyuk had a way of making people look silly during his time with the Red Wings and he’s still making players look foolish in the KHL.
