The postseason brings out the best in Pittsburgh Penguins forwards Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin.
Each player has a Conn Smythe trophy and two Stanley Cups on their resumé, and will compete against the Nashville Predators for a chance to capture a third title.
Malkin currently leads the Penguins with 24 points in 19 games while Crosby has recorded 20 in 18. The close totals shouldn’t come as a surprise considering how similar their career playoff point totals are. Here is a look at their individual stats in what is each player’s 10th postseason.

It’s hard to believe that only four points separate the two. Although Crosby has averaged more points per game (1.106), Gino's 22 power-play goals are four more than Sid's 18. The Russian's 2009 postseason stands as the best, and he is in position to capture his second Conn Smythe trophy if the Penguins can come away with the Cup.
