Cory Schneider is an extremely talented goalie in the NHL, but he has never been praised for his puck handling skills.
In TSN’s Post 2 Post series, he was listed as a “Stop and Leave” goaltender, which is someone who basically just wants to stop the puck behind the net and get out of there as soon as possible. Well, maybe they aren’t using him in their best way. He’s not a passer, he’s a shooter – at least that’s what it looks like when he’s in practice taking one-timers.
With the looks of this, they should never go empty net.
Instead of Schneider hopping off the ice for an extra man, just swap his sticks out and have him got set up in the Ovi spot and let him hammer away.
All jokes aside it’s pretty impressive coordination while in all that goalie gear. Now, we just have to see his knuckle puck form.
