Connor McDavid is currently leading the NHL in scoring and he’s only 20 years old.
It’s crazy to think that it’s only his second year in the league and he’s already proved to be so dominant, and become one of the biggest stars in the league. Don’t think it’s gone to his head though. McDavid teamed up with one of his sponsors to surprise a group of kids playing in an exhibition game.
Just as he does in the NHL, he’s got his head on a swivel, trying to set up these kids for goals all over the ice.
Another great part of this commercial is the childhood photos of McDavid, where you can see how obsessed he was with the number 97 from a young age. It’s amazing how the generational players always seem to have their recognizable number right away.
Just one time though, we’d love to see one of these NHL players go all out on these kids. Like the way NBA players do in their kid’s camps, it would be hilarious to see an NHLer go backhand shelf on a goalie who can’t even reach the top of the net.
