It looks like the players and fans in attendance for NHL All-Star weekend have been having a blast so far. It has been star-studded, action-packed weekend so far, and we haven’t even gotten to the main event yet.
There are a lot of first-time All-Stars in the event this year, with one of them being Philadelphia Flyers winger Wayne Simmonds. The 28-year-old is the lone Flyers representative and he got some hilarious advice from his captain Claude Giroux ahead of his first NHL All-Star Game.
Nothing beats the look on Corey Perry’s face as stares at Simmonds in admiration as he skates away without any of his upper body gear on after a fight.
We don’t think that Simmonds is going to get that worked up and have to drop the gloves on Sunday afternoon. He even told Giroux that he wouldn’t go that far.
Unfortunately, Perry didn’t make it this year, but perhaps he sent teammate Ryan Getzlaf to LA with some questions for Simmonds or with an item for Simmonds to autograph.
