Summer is nearing an end as students start to head back to school and that means hockey season is right around the corner.
Over the past few weeks, players from around the league have been sharing their excitement for the upcoming season through their social media pages with the latest one coming courtesy of Philadelphia Flyers captain Claude Giroux.
Last season, Giroux had a bit of an off-year as he finished with 14 goals, 44 assists and 58 points in 82 games, his lowest total per category since the 2012-13 shortened season, so you can bet he’s eager to get out there and start producing again.
On Sunday, Giroux shared another picture on his Instagram account that shows just how ready he is to get back on the ice.
He’s not the only player eager to get the season going as Zach Werenski, Max Domi, Markus Granlund and Nazem Kadri have all shared posts showing how excited they are for the upcoming NHL season.
The 2017-18 NHL regular season gets underway on October 4, 2017, so the season will get going in no time.
