Jimmy Butler’s name has been involved in trade rumours for quite some time now it looks like a deal is finally in place.
Moments after the Los Angeles Lakers took Lonzo Ball with the second overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, the first trade of the evening was announced and it involved the Chicago Bulls and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The trade will send Jimmy Butler and the No. 16 pick in this year’s draft to Minnesota in exchange for Zach LaVine, Kris Dunn and the No. 7 pick in this year’s draft.
Considering both Butler and LaVine are coming off career years, the trade completely shocked the NBA community.
LaVine is definitelty a young stud, but his 18.9 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3 assists per game doesn’t exactly match up to the 23.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.9 steals per game Butler averaged last year with the Bulls.
