All eyes have been on the Saskatchewan Roughriders this week thanks to a situation involving Duron Carter and his teammate Sam Williams.
On Wednesday at practice, though, the talk shifted from that situation to Carter playing cornerback. Yes, you read that correctly, Carter will be playing wideout, corner and on special teams Friday night against the Stampeders.
As Dave Naylor explained, this decision was made before the fight with Williams occurred because of injuries in the Saskatchewan secondary.
Once the news broke on Twitter, Calgary quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell decided to chime in:
Anyone that follows Carter on Twitter knows he likes to tweet and respond to fans and other players, and that didn't held true in this instance, too.
Bo got the final word, though, with this GIF:
If Carter is indeed starting, Mitchell is going to test him early, so the football world will get a good look at his skills on the other side of the ball early.
We know his skills on special teams already, though, as Carter blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown last season against Hamilton and it was one of the plays of the year.
If you needed another reason to watch this must-see matchup on Friday night, Carter and Mitchell gave it to you on a silver platter.
