Nothing is going right for the Montreal Canadiens this season.
The Habs were 1-5-1 on the season going into their game against the Ducks and things went from bad to worse as they got hammered 6-2 on Friday night.
Despite recording 51 shots for the game, Anaheim was just six behind with 45 on the night, so it's not like the Canadiens badly outshot the Ducks in the loss.
Furthermore, it was a one-goal game in the third period before the Ducks scored three goals in less than three minutes to put the game out of reach, and after the sixth goal, Carey Price showed his frustration by destroying his stick against the post.
To say Price, his teammates and his head coach are frustrated right now is an understatement, especially when you consider they started off 13-1-1 last season.
On the bright side, things can't get much worse than being in second last place in the NHL (two points ahead of Arizona for that honour) and Montreal has a lot of talent on their roster.
Plus, they've only played eight games and Price is their goalie. If there's any goalie out there that can will his team to a postseason berth by himself, we think it's him, so have some faith Montreal fans because the season is far from over.
