Frustrations and emotions sometimes bring out the worst in our favourite athletes.
Odell Beckham Jr. is the perfect example of this as his antics sometimes overshadowed how incredible he was this season for the Giants.
Handling the frustrations and keeping the emotions in check in tight spots is easily one of the toughest parts of being a pro athlete, and Canadian tennis player Denis Shapovalov found that out the hard way Sunday.
During a match against Great Britain in the Davis Cup Shapovalov smashed a ball from his pocket in frustration after losing the point, and it accidentally hit the chair umpire in the eye.
Shapovalov was disqualified, meaning Great Britain, not Canada, advanced to the Quarter Finals of the Davis Cup.
The umpire who got hit was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but before he left, Shapovalov apologized for what he did.
It was a mistake, and a bad one to say the least, but Shapovalov is just 17-years-old and he will learn from the mistake.
In fact, he's already owning it judging by what he had to say after the match.
Canada still supports you, Denis! Keep your head up.
