The Chicago Bulls shocked just about everyone around the NBA by trading Jimmy Butler to the Minnesota Timberwolves during the 2017 NBA Draft.
Butler’s name was involved in trade rumours for weeks, but Minnesota was never mentioned as a possible landing destination.
As expected, Bulls fans were furious when they found out their leading scorer had just been shipped to the Timberwolves, but no one was angrier at the time than Travelle Gaines, Butler’s personal trainer.
Now that the deal has started to sink in for the Bulls faithful, the fans have decided to take action and are hoping to get Bulls general manager Gar Forman and vice president of basketball operations John Paxon fired from their jobs through GoFundMe.
Put together by Bulls fan Brendon Henderson, he's looking to raise $15,000 in order to purchase billboards in the heavily populated areas throughout the city.
To make the initiative even better, Henderson has decided to donate all the money to the South Side YMCA of Metro Chicago if they can’t reach the goal of $15,000, but they’ve already raised nearly $6,000 in just 24 hours.
